Q: What account/specialty do you support?
A: I perform Interventional Radiology audits for multiple accounts.
Q: What was your onboarding experience like?
A: Everyone that I worked with during the onboarding process was extremely friendly and open – it made the experience quite painless.
Q: What do you like best about working for AQuity?
A: There are so many things that I love so far… the camaraderie and collaboration between employees make it feel like I’m working with a small family. The coding/audit management team that I work under is fantastic – very open, friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable! I also love the both the privilege of being a mentor and the challenge to push both myself and those that I work with to be the best team that we can be.
Q: What surprised you most after joining the team?
A: It would probably be how warmly I was welcomed by everyone.
Q: What do you like best about working on your account?
A: I love seeing my coders grow stronger in Interventional Radiology coding and seeing the clients respond to that change/growth with growing confidence and respect for the team.
Q: What would you say to another candidate looking at AQuity?
A: I feel that (for me) the choice to move to AQuity was the right one. I would not hesitate to recommend the move to another auditor.
Q: What keeps you motivated throughout a long day?
A: COFFEE!!! Lots of coffee!!!
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I run two businesses – one is a glass supply business for art-glass (glass blowing lampworking, fusing, slumping, etc.). The other is a jewelry business – primarily silver, gold, and base metals like copper, bronze, and brass. I’m a metalsmith and designer with a current specialty in fold forming and creating spinner rings and puzzle rings.
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?
A: Again, there are several things, but if I had to pick one it would be my past. Every experience that I’ve had, every success, and every failure has contributed to the person I am today. If not for those experiences I wouldn’t be me. Likewise, I don’t think that I could live without a sense of humor – laughter is healing and I love to share laughter. Also, my integrity. If one loses their integrity, they’ve lost more than they might truly understand.
